Topic description

Not all customers are white, middle-aged men

With roots in the concept car Volvo YCC, Ampersand helps its clients capitalise on the knowledge that not all customers are white, middle-aged men. Realising what customer segment is growing the most – and acting on that – give companies a clear competitive advantage.

One of the company’s projects was developing a leisure boat concept that includes the demands of women without excluding men. The concept was ordered by the Swedish Marine industry and was partly financed by the government. Other Ampersand projects include bathrooms, saunas, education, shopping centers, and city bus interiors.
