How to… #EPTDA2023Amsterdam Annual Business Convention
A short guideline that will enhance your experience as a convention delegate.
EPTDA’s Annual Business Conventions are one of the most popular events in the Power Transmission / Motion Control industry in Europe. The event can be sometimes a little fatiguing, but, nonetheless, exciting. So, here are a few lines about what is going to happen in September, that will help you better navigate this experience.
Before the convention
Accommodation
Go on the “Hotel” section, and use the dedicated link to book your room. Keep in mind that, this year there are 2 hotels where EPTDA guests will be accommodated – Mövenpick Hotel Amsterdam City Centre and Inntel Hotels Amsterdam Landmark.
Convention App
If not done already, download the Brella app and get familiar with it. Discover the program, start interacting with delegates who already have their profile activated within the app and, when open, book your MD-IDEX sessions. Before, and especially during the convention, you will get notifications in real time helping you organize your agenda better and arrange your networking meetings.
Special thanks to Gates, this year’s Digital Partner and sponsor of the convention app – Brella.
MD-IDEX bookings
Available only for the EPTDA members: the first weeks of September are dedicated to MD-IDEX bookings, using the Brella app. You will get notifications and separate emails about the schedule, and, in advance, there will be a webinar on 29 August, teaching you how to use the app. If you are representing a manufacturer company, but you are not yet an EPTDA member, you cannot book any MD-IDEX meetings. Instead, you have plenty of time and spaces to meet with convention delegates outside these organized sessions and you can use the Brella app to contact your persons of interest and set-up a meeting there.
Check your emails
A few days before the convention, check your travel itineraries, pack your bags, bring some joy, and prepare your business cards (digital or printed ones) — the convention is about to start and you will have plenty of networking opportunities. Don’t forget to check your emails too, the EPTDA Bureau might have some last-minute messages for you.
Dress code
Important, but not urgent: the dress code is business casual attire. Feel comfortable while networking with your peers, colleagues, business partners.
