At SKF, we have a long history of working with industrial sustainability. It is an integral part of what we do every day.
And we strive to create engagement throughout the business, not only by implementing sustainability on a strategic level, but also by encouraging the ideas and grass root projects initiated by our people around the world.
SKF has been installing solar PV generation at many of its locations around the world as well as securing local PPA’s for some years. In 2022, we generated around 46 GWh in total from these factories.

SKF remanufacturing rebuilds the bearing to its original specifications using reused, repaired and new parts. For our customers we reduce the amount of new material, reuse old parts, recycle scrap material and document CO2 emissions reduction.
We work to enable rotation for a better tomorrow. An important cornerstone in this is our continued collaboration with customers, partners, and society, to push beyond the boundaries of the industry. Our largest contribution lies in providing clean technology solutions for the industrial transformation, and in developing more and more of our products to become lighter, more efficient, longer lasting, repairable, and, ultimately, recyclable.
SKF RecondOil closes the loop on the use of industrial lubrication oil. By combining our patented Double Separation Technology (DST) with high-performing SKF oil, we can extend the lifespan of the oil almost endlessly.
This in turn helps our customers reach their goals for sustainability and growth. But we strive to do more. By challenging ourselves, and by inviting others to collaborate, we can continue to find new ways to influence all aspects of the future sustainable business.
